Nuvi 1350 review
By J. Manfred
I have had the 1350 for about 60 days. I travel frequently for work and have used it on vacation once already.
Using the address function doesn't always work if the address isn't included in the database that is preloaded. This isn't a frequent occurrence but is something to be aware of. It most frequently happens in small, rural towns and cities and I used city center to get me close. Then I asked for directions.
Using the points of interests that are loaded made my vacation much easier as we were able to find a particular attraction in the database, then have the 1350 direct us there. We were able to drive right up to the attraction which saved me countless hours of driving and trying to find the particular route to the destination.
The 1350 has worked very well for me so far. If I start it up again in the same place as shut it down, it found the satellites very quickly. If I had shut it off, then flew somewhere, it would take a little longer to find the satellites, but so far no longer than about 2 minutes. The only exception was when I picked up a rental car and was in the middle of a multi-level parking garage. It didn't start to connect until I got to the exit.
